Tools on the way. Who wants to see a new key being made?

So, I've spent the last couple of days working on my foray into the keycap market and I can happily say that, after a small setback involving 3D printers, I am now ordering the necessary supplies to bring my digital design into the physical world. It should look relatively similar to my prototype design that I released a few days ago: Regardless, it'll be fun. I'll be posting an update or another thread when I get the next version of the key (this time in physical form) up and running. See ya, cheers!

Exciting stuff! Which program did you use to sculpt with?

I'm a big fan of Blender. I use it for practically everything it has to offer. So, you interested in something like this? Do you see a way to improve it?

You know, you would think that in the process of making it...Ya I noticed when I took a step back and looked at it but I was hoping it was just me. Regardless, I'm going to need feedback during the actual sculpting phase to get this right. I'm using water based air dry clay so I can keep remolding and remolding it if I need to until I get it to something that people would like.

what are you going to be making this out of?

I'm going to model this digital design (because I'm not 3D printing it for reasons too long to explain here) using a water based air dry clay. When I get past the back and forth with the community until people generally like it, I'm going to take the final version and I'm going to make a silicon mold for it. Then, I'm going to use resin to do the final cap. In the future, I hope to upgrade this process but for now this is my methodology.
