Varmilo Keyboards (Official?)
« on: Sun, 24 January 2016, 07:48:36 »
Hello

I've been trying to dig up places where I could buy a Varmilo VA87M. I stumbled across this Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/varmilo/
Is this their Official page? If so does that mean the Taobao site listed: https://zhihaihe.taobao.com/ , is the official place to purchase Varmilo keyboards?

After some google translating I realised it's highly customisable and you can request for specific combinations of casing colours, Cherry MX switch types, LED lights and key caps.

They seem to be at a more reasonable price for me at least (Australian). Really just curious if anyone else has stumbled across this before.

Thanks for reading :D

If you look at the about section you will see it's a page created by that seller, and not the actual Varmilo page (which doesn't appear to exist). That site is a vender according to the Facebook page.

Massdrop occasionally has drops for them. Right now, they have a drop for the VA68M

You can buy them from ebay for reasonable prices from Taiwan sellers.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XVarmilo+Va87m.TRS0&_nkw=Varmilo+Va87m&_sacat=0

You can probably also use an agent like http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/ to buy from a Taiwan shop but ebay will probably be cheaper than having an agent and the two Taiwanese shops I know about that were selling the Ducky YOTG doubleshot white keycaps (using a translator) don't have the Varmilo keyboard.  So I suggest ebay.

+1 for eBay. My VA87m came fast, without defects, and for a relatively good price too (I say relatively because I live in Canada and 1 USD is about 47 Canadian shekels).

Oh,
Hi I'm the Taiwanese seller on eBay.

Several buyer contact me for enjoypbt caps and some other caps or DIY parts.
They mentioned I should take a look on geekhack.
So I registered account few minutes ago.
I only read some thread I'm interesting before.

If somebody want to get lower price than eBay show, please send me message.
Both eBay message or email will be fine.
Discount is about 10% of total price(save from eBay fee, they charge fee from shipping too).
Still more expensive than taobao's price.
Cause we do money transfer through Paypal, they charge pretty high fee.
(Actually we only get 85% of total price for a eBay order)
Second, keyboard is not really good sell on eBay, so we can't provide a great price :(

But our business of DIY parts goes well.
Will provide more product with lower price after Chinese New Year.

I loved the VA87M I briefly had. But 2 of the Gateron Blues on it were faulty. I got it through Massdrop and was able to return it for a full refund no problems. The case quality is top notch and the floating keys look super great. I got the grey top printed PBT caps and they have an interesting custom low-profile. I really liked it. If I could get one with Zealios 62g I would.
How does one become so interested in a thing like keyboards? When you realize you use a keyboard more than any other tool in your life.

Was lurking old posts. Live in Toronto, can confirm Canuck shekels are worthless.

Also, Varmilo full-size VA108 up on MD now!

I've had my eye on this one.

Hi,
Our store is updated by eBay recently I guess, so we can list more items in single listing.
So we removed this one and re-listed.
Now LED color can be selected in the listing!
Here it is :
http://stores.ebay.com/Doyu-Studio?_dmd=2&_nkw=varmilo

I found someone has a switch issue 1 year ago XD
Varmilo told that Gateron switches has more issues like that, so they stopped provide gateron option from Mar 2017.
