My Filco Majesping toned it down
« on: Wed, 05 April 2017, 02:38:16 »
Third month with my Filco and I recently noticed that my Japanese church organ doesn't sing in A so loudly anymore.

I had read  threads here which mentioned the Filco ping and most people reported a few keys pinging, usually the modifiers or the arrows, but in my case it was many alphas too, especially the T.
The T rang a wonderful A note, really loud, and it resounded for a couple of seconds after the upstroke too. I could play f* Mozart with it.
It's been pretty quiet lately though, the keys ping only when I bump into the caps' corners and the T's ping has quietened down considerably.
The only explanation I can come up with is that I'm typing lighter and lighter as I adjust to the switch but the ping is quieter when I smash the keys too.

Just thought it could be of interest.
