Installing Cherry MX Switches upside down
« on: Fri, 05 May 2017, 21:12:29 »
I noticed that on my Ducky One, the Cherry MX switches are installed upside down(see below) -

I am building an RS96 and was wondering whether I could install my Cherry MX switches upside down in that also, so that the LED's are at the top of the key?

Would this have any negative effect?

The design of your PCB will determine how the switches must be mounted.

Looking at the RS96 pcb it seems you'll be out of luck, the switches will be mounted with the LED at the bottom.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
