This looks quite similar to something I saw in a closed department store I was working in (building maintenance work).

You know how in some stores/offices/etc you'll find a monitor under a glass window in the counter, aimed upwards? That's what this looks like, and the keyboard in the tray was similar enough. It was a few years ago though...no guarantee on those memories.

Know what you mean.

There is this closed small business down the street, being used as a junk storage...lots of electric typewriters and such...and for the last couple of weeks...an IBM model M just behind the window, not connected, just in a pile with other stuff.

Today, saw a Smith-Corona typewriter piled on top of it...never seem to see anyone actually in the place...if/when I do, I'll make a pitch for that keyboard...
