Lot of Vintage Computers
« on: Sat, 04 November 2017, 17:33:50 »
There's an estate that someone is tasked with liquidating that includes a lot of vintage macs and some PCs.  Might be the find you're looking for:

Lots of vintage computers with beautiful keycaps that may even be functional as well as mac stuff galore and even 2 model Ms and some PCs.

Wow, so much nostalgia there. Too bad he only wants to sell it all in one go. Even with lots of money, transporting and storing all that would be a major challenge. (Edit, saw that someone was aggregating individual offers, but the stated deadline was 10/31.)

Actually, he doesn't. :D  He's willing to sell it piece by piece and there's a thread here where all the communications is:

They didn't reach their dollar goal by 10-31 so it's still on.  And it's kinda kickstarter style where if they don't have all the money in-hand, then the whole deal is off.

Wow, thanks -- will probably try to get in on this. If I don't post again, it means my spouse has killed me :).

HAHAHA!  I would have gotten on it too if not for the same reason (and as I already have enough vintage stuff :D)

It's always amazing to see what is found sitting in someone's house.

Be sure not to mention geekhack--apparently the vintage computer people look at keyboard enthusiasts as 'keyboard poachers'.

The level of ingratitude towards my assistance makes me want to buy the entire lot from the owner just so the individuals can't get their individual purchases.  >:D
