It's a model F, XT, in the box (looks like it's new). Bidding is at $9 (someone already bidded).

Yeah, it's an ivory version of IBM's standard keyboards, BUT, it's missing the windows extra keys. Strange.

It's for an RS/6000 - which was a UNIX workstation.

I tried to snipe it at $51--fail.

I did buy three Model F ATs in the last two weeks though. A seller had two listed at $120 each yesterday, I made an offer of $60 each and they went for it. Tech recyclers.

For 91 bucks, it makes a fantastic paper weight, door stop, or finger toy to use while watching TV...unless you have (or build) the $100 XT to AT converter.

Although I have the XT to AT converter, my XT Model F rarely sees the light of day.

Very nice feel, but useless layout for a US touch typist.

...or, you know, if you have a 5150/5160.

I can imagine the people who really need - really deserve, in fact - such a keyboard become infuriated when non-vintage computer enthusiasts spend tremendous amounts of money (which $91 can be construed to be, btw, particularly if the buyer won't be typing on it) to ensure their restoration job's completion is delayed.

I assure you, I did not buy a NIB rubber dome Model M just for the box. I had to justify the purchase to myself so I looked for the most valuable part of the purchase.

It ended up being the box, in that case.

Still thinking about building one, then swapping my Colemak keys on the AT to the French XT.
But so far, I've been using it as a shelf...

Those motion-capture animations are quite expensive in SL.

There was a RS/6000 Windows NT, too. Probably NT 3.x.
