There's not really anything special about these. I bought a couple of them as a lot off ebay because I was betting that the keycaps might be compatible with SKCC alps.



I turned out to be wrong, the keycaps go on but are just a bit cockeyed. I'm gonna hold onto them for the moment in case another idea comes to me. There's enough parts to make one workingkeyboard between them, though I'm not sure that's worth the trouble.




They're just slider over dome/membrane switches, and not particularly good feeling ones at that. In fact, I wouldn't bother making this post except for the little surprise that I found inside one.

One of the residents was even still home. Luckily she was far past her expiration date.

Final thing that's cool is that these really show off Radioshack's DIY ethos; you get a map of the switch grid on the packaging.


EDIT: I can't believe I made this post without a SINGLE 'computer bug' joke. I'm ashamed; it didn't even occur to me.
