Hello everyone,
I'm new to GeekHack but I want to share my first custom mechanical keyboard build.
I use mechanical keyboards for a few years now two of them being a Cherry MX Board 3.0 (Cherry MX Red) and a Ducky Channel One (Cherry MX Blue).
I was very happy with the Ducky Channel but needed a more silent mechanical keyboard good for gaming and typing.
Logically I looked at Cherry MX Silent Red keyboards but there are not a lot of them. Furthermore I tend to make more typos with Cherry MX Red switches maybe because of the low actuation force.
Then I discovered the Cherry MX Silent Black switches exist and since I did not find a keyboard featuring those I decided to build a custom 60% keyboard:
- Satan GH60 PCB
- Genuine Cherry Stabilizers set 4x2u 2x6.25u (PCB Mounted, not clipped)
- Cherry MX Silent Black switches (Plate Mounted)
- Black DIY 60% Mechanical Keyboard Case Universal
- Black Aluminium 60% Plate Universal ANSI & ISO Frame
- Green LEDs EL204V50 3mm 20mA 3.5V 5000mcd
- Ducky Channel Black PBT Double-shot ISO french keycaps
- Amazon Basics USB-A to mini USB-B

You can find more pictures and the QMK firmware keymap.c file I'm using on this GitHub repository:
