Hey guys!
I'm new and just looking for Info on a keyboard i just bought at a Thrift Store.
It's a Convergent Technologies KM-001 AB. It was produced in 1984 as seen on the internal writing. It seems to be made by Cortron from the markings on the internals. See attatched pics. The switches seem to be RAFI Hall-Effect Rubber-Dome Switches but i may be wrong as i'm new to vintage mech keys.
I've done some research and it seems to have been produced to be used with the Convergent Technologies AWS NGEN Workstation, a system based on the Borroughs B20 and B26. I haven't been able to find any information on the Connector as it may be propietary. If anyone has any info on this it would be awesome if you would comment.
The processor looks to be produced in 1982 by ATI. I can't find any info on it.
Any info on the keyboard would be awesome. Trying to figure out if I can still use it today or if it's more of a showpiece. I suspect the latter because of its age and seemingly propietary connectors.
Cheers!
