Space as a modifier in xkb
« on: Mon, 28 May 2018, 18:46:03 »
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to setup a new layout that fits more with the symbols I used more often..
Since tuning xkb worked great with [AltGr] modifier, I almost mapped all my keys with the 4 levels.. ([X], [Shift][X], [AltGr][X] and [AltGr][Shift][X])
Indeed, my major complaints is not so the keys combination but rather the key distance (lik the numbers/symbols row and the arrows)
But, using combination with only the [AltGr] is not so efficient after all..

However, I discovered that thread that blew my mind
Why tf this is not implemented by default !!
So I wanted to do that however, I don't know how to let the space act as a modifier.
In the meantime I build an ergo keyboard, I will go this way..
Thanks!
