Cherry Blacks for 5? To buy or not to buy?
« on: Fri, 07 May 2010, 15:03:26 »
Well, Queensway computer fare, the guy behind the counter doesnt know it but he has a Cherry G80-3000 in blacks. Me being a kid, innocently asked him how much he would sell it to me for, he first said 10 but i said hell no so we eventually got down to five. I don't think he realised why I wanted it.

So should I buy it, are they any good for modding or anything of the sort?

For a fiver, rip his hand off. If you don't like it, you can always sell it later.

I would buy it for 5.  At the very least you can use it for spare parts (caps, case, etc.).

Some German G80-3000's have them. probably the cheapest way to get them outside of India (TVS Gold).
