What would be a good setup for Pro Purples?

People here understand the intricacies of board design and popular switches relatively well, so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm enjoying Kailh Pro Purples on a TeamWolf Zhuque. It's been a very cost effective way to try out a different tactile.

Pro Purples are weird, and poorly-understood. They're not a Zealio clone, or a 'better Brown.' They're basically a lighter Halo True, as far as I understand. (I've tried both).

Pro Purples have no pre-travel. You press [about 50-55 gr?], and once you overcome the threshold, the switch actuates.

It then bottoms-out in a semi-linear fashion. So it's kind of like a good rubber dome, but more consistent. I think that was the original intention of the Halo True - to produce a feel similar to heavy Topre.

The linear bottom-out takes advantage of Cherry MX's strength, since MX linear designs perform well and are highly competitive.

So I am trying to produce a better Pro Purple experience.

If I like Pro Purples [with Varmilo caps] on the Zhuque, what would be better?

I sized up the KBD8x mkii, but I wasn't sure what plate to use. It would be a full-plate, but polycarbonate or brass? Pro Purples are 'tactiles,' so they should use polycarb. But the Zhuque uses an aluminum plate, which feels fine. So I'm not sure.

Some obvious options here are the TADA68 and KBD67, which can come with aluminum plates and cases. But they are 65% layout, and I'm set on a TKL.

There's the MassDrop CTRL, which ticks a lot of boxes. But it's not premium in the same way a KBD67 / KBD8x are, and the PCB isn't great.

What would you do? At the very least, what kind of KBD8x would you order?

TL;DR

Typing on Pro Purples on a TeamWolf Zhuque is pretty good.

What would be a better version of this experience?
