Silent linears for testing
« on: Mon, 03 February 2020, 09:08:47 »
Hey!

Im new into keyboard DIYs and I'm almost sure that I'll get a TOFU65 from kbd.

But I can't decide on the switches, just that it definitely should be linears.
I already tested multiple ones from .5€ to 1,20€ and I'm totally unsure about any of them.
They will be definitely cleaned and lubed and shoud be as smooth as possible and the price is more or less irrelevant.

Yesterday I saw the Rosélios/Sakurios and Healios and would like to test them because I never tried silents before. Maybe they are a good choice?

Is there anybody who would be so nice to send me 2 or 3 of any of them just to test them and I'll return them in a few days. Would really help me deciding which one to get.

If you don't mind price, they are great switches. There are better value for money, such as original Cherry Silent Red and Black. I wanted to get some from Novelkeys, but they seem to be out of stock at the moment.

Gateron silents are not good, they have sticking problems.
Zeal and Cherry housings do not have this problem.

Good luck finding something! :)
