Hey Folks
« on: Sun, 01 December 2019, 17:25:57 »
Hey,

I'm pretty new to mechanical keyboards, and it all started because I started using my laptop more on an external screen and couldn't find a keyboard that I was comfortable with and while watching a stream on Twitch, the guy on there was using one and suggested I give it a try, safe to say I've fallen for the bug, I much prefer the feedback and feel of mech, [ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] it reminds me of my younger years using the C64.

I currently have a cheap Drevo 88 Key ISO from Amazon, with SA Orange Dolch caps, although I didn't realise I needed the Mod Plus set too, and now have a right shift that's has the func key, and the func key with an up kek.  ^-^

I also accidentally clicked too far when I was looking at SA Crisis and now have the numpad kit on the way, that I'm planning on turning into a calculator as I don't really need a number pad.

I'm also an avid 'maker' and enjoy designing and making random things, so I thought I would make my own keyboard next, and I would start with using the 'num-pad-ulator' as a trial run for my first ever custom, and that's the main reason I'm here, I'm hoping this community can give me the answers that Google seems to withhold.

Hey,

How's progress with your board? What are the other things that you've made? I enjoy designing things, but haven't really messed with electronics more than simple circuits or pcb's really. How's the numpadulator going with the SA Crisis? Looking forward to seeing pictures, haha

I'm not the most knowledgeable person in the community by any means, but I do know some people who'd definitely be able to help. Are there any questions I can relay for you to get some answers?

Hey JinTea,

I’ve made a few basic ‘’Arduino’ type projects and a bed, don’t really take pictures of many things, but I’ll post what I have. At the moment I’m still waiting in the SA Crysis set to arrive so I’m only doing some research on that at the moment, and as I’m gonna be doing it in sheet metal I’ll be getting that made at the same time as my Rail Info display, to save the £25 setup fee, so we’re looking at Feb/March for that.231236-0

Wow yeah that's impressive! Do you have access to a laser/co2 cutter for the church/building or was it all done by hand? Looking forward to seeing it when your projects are done!
