Hi! I feel like my title sounds rude, but it's meant to be deadpan comedy, which I am quickly finding out I might not be an expert at.
Anyway I live in California, SF bay area. I understand I just missed going to some decent meetups, but regardless here I am!
I originally wanted to get into MK as a hobby because I needed a new keyboard figured now's the time. But I'm finding out that I am actually getting really into it (and spending more money than I planned which might soon begin to worry me).
I own an ebay Noppoo Lolita Spyder TKL, I tore it down (used, someone else's gunk, gross) and soldered in some Holy Pandas I made from the recent Drop Trues and some Purple Trash Pandas from Novelkeys. I currently have a keycap set I got on Drop as well as a Dwarf Factory Happy Hippo artisan, also from Drop I was hoping would match it. (warning: old cellphone image)
I've also got a Drop Preonic on the way as well as some thick clicks which I am really excited about. I own two additional keycap sets from PMK, the Nuclear Data set and 2048, neither really has a plan though at the moment.
I'm a bit confused how I got here considering I really wanted to do a sort of pink mohawk cyberpunk theme build, and it feels like I'm starting off my new hobby doing side projects.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome thus far! I am a welder by trade and like to work with my hands. I also have a passion for machining and access to a great machine shop, so I hope to tinker with my ideas and make some fun personal stuff, maybe even bring something cool to the community eventually.
I suppose I'll leave it there for now, I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read this, I feel like I've taken enough already and don't want to become annoying.
