Careless mistake made when installing stablizers
« on: Sun, 05 January 2020, 07:43:48 »
I just finished building my new keyboard and while testing it, I realized the left shift key gets stuck at the bottom sometimes. I took the keycap off and noticed that the dummy switch (the part of the stabilizer with the stem, I think that's what its called) on the left side of the stabilizer was facing the wrong way.

Is there any way to fix this or at least make it so the switch doesn't get stuck without desoldering all of the LEDs and switches? Thanks

Ouch, unless they are plate mounted stabs you're definitely gonna have desolder more than just the switch & LED that it is stabilizing. Depending on how tight the plate is around the stabilizer even if it's a PCB mounted one you may be able to get it out with desoldering the whole build though.
