I just built my Whitefox kit that I purchased back then when it was available on massdrop. I know it's been a while
At first it seemed everything worked fine after soldering, except for one led (led57) that doesn't light up. I found out led was fine and pads/tracks were not so I checked the schematic of Whitefox of inspected where does led57 connects, and wire soldered it to the correct places. Now when I connect it every led and switch works fine, but only for a while. Sometimes after 30mins, sometimes after 12 hours. Suddenly leds turn off, disconnection sound comes from windows. My observations tells me more I use keyboard, shorter is the disconnection time. So if I use it frequently it disconnects in 10 mins, and if I dont use it it disconnects after 12 hours. When I unplug and replug usb, leds light up but disconnects again in 10-20 seconds.
First time it happened was when I soldered every switch/led and checked keyboard on keyboard tester. Keyboard disconnected and When I looked at the orange led I saw that it was flickering.
Another thing I checked is the Kiibohd configurator. I flashed with that application so that firmware would be the latest, but I don't know if I have the latest I assumed Kiibohd would have latest firmware. So when keyboard disconnects, I also checked Kiibohd app whether keyboard switches into flashing mode when it disconnects or not. And I saw that it is in flashing mode. When I flash new layout, keyboard reconnects and disconnects after 10-20 seconds, same as replugging usb.
What could be the problem.
