A problem with iPod touch syncing
« on: Sat, 26 June 2010, 14:46:11 »
I have an 8gb ipod touch, and it works fine; nothing wrong with the display or music playback. However, it will not be recognized by the computer or iTunes when I plug it in. I have the correct sync cable, none of my USB ports are broken, I have the latest version of iTunes running, and I've restored the iPod. Still nothing seems to work. I know that it isn't the driver, because I have two other ipods, a classic and a shuffle, both of which work fine. I'm not sure that reinstalling iTunes would work. The ipod touch also will charge when I plug it into the computer, but the charge icon doesn't display. Has anyone encountered a solution to this strange problem? I hope the USB port on the iPod isn't broken, but I can't rule out anything at this point.

They can draw a lot of current. Make sure nothing else is on the hub.
