Hey Ripster is this mechanical keyboard by Compaq?

I have seen some rankmounts by Compaq with trackball, one model had the brown switches, how about this one? and is the rear of the keyboard exposed like that for rackmounting or it should come with optional plastic cover,waithing for your reply....thanks

not much info about being mechanical or not, on another note this one is totally different that the beige version that is track mount but also wrapped in plastic housing I think was MX-1180 or something like that and it came with browns,not much info on this model but looks like not so great options for the home PC desk either....

Those are rubber dome KBs, and they suck serious choad.  I have several in my datacenter.
