Hi friends,

I am new here, recently got into the hobby due to the quarantine. The first mech board was the Anne pro, and then a pre built acrylic tofu! I just joined my first group buy on the Space65 R2, and will be interested in joining more! Hopefully joining this new community well teach me more about the new hobby and also skills I needed to start on building my first custom keyboard.

It appears that I am in the same boat as you! I've had a fairly cheap board with MX Blues for a while now, and I recently decided that to pass the time during quarantine I would dig deeper into the world of mechs and build my own. I got sucked into r/mechanicalkeyboards on Reddit and eventually ended up here when I was looking for even more information. I think I have settled on building a 60% with BOX Jades, Cherry stabs, and a DSA 9009 keycap set from KBDfans. For the pcb, i'm going with the DZ60. I haven't decided on a case yet. Since it sounds like you want to build a custom board, do you know what switches or other parts you might want to use?

It's great to know that there are other people like me that are just getting into the hobby and still learning all about this wondrous world!
