Need an idea
« on: Thu, 16 April 2020, 07:40:00 »
Hello there!

First of all i want to tell you that I love something related to gaming, mechanical keyboard, action figure and other geek stuff

I own plastic injection machines that i want to use for making something related to my hobby and I just succeeded in making keycaps product that I named KeyKraft (www.keykraft.shop)

besides making keycaps I want to make something else that related to my hobby.

can you give me an idea or something that you need and want me to make? for now we only have single shot injection machines but the good news is we can make the plastic injection mold with the machines we have so it would reduce the cost than give it to other companies  :D

I'd like a reproduction of the intellimouse optical 1.1a mouse shape. I understand zowie cloned it with the zowie am but they are very rare now. Ideally I'd like to remove the upper shell from a zowie fk1+ and replace it with a custom shell, re-using the base and pcb. this is a popular shape among large handed folk such as myself but as we are a smaller demographic the gaming brands don't cater to us.

you could take a couple of the popular keyboard kits and make injection cases at a cheaper cost than the machined aluminum originals (obviously getting permission from the designer). split keyboards are in dire need of cases (usually they are done with layers of acrylic or 3d printed)

thx ...will check out the caps.

also, what would it look like if you injected multple colors into a single mold? (letting it mix on it's own? not sure how the equipment works...) would it be like some multi-colored vinyl LPs or would it be just a even blend of the colors?

if it would have some neat effect, this would be a way to make the injection parts unique (each one slightly different) but still keep the cost low.

.... and i've been looking for a set of "interesting" blank keycaps (kinda like what artisans do for some of the blanks they produce, usually either a mix of a couple colors in a single keycap or a single unique color or effect... transparent, glitter, pearl, etc....)
