Replacing keycaps on WASD v2
« on: Sun, 19 April 2020, 12:44:42 »
I have a WASD v2 104 keyboard with Cherry MX brown.
The previous white & grey keycaps that came with it were ABS.

Some of the coating on the keys started to peel off and I recently bought a cheap Miku PBT set from taobao - https://m.tb.cn/h.VSSnxi1?sm=24c4de

I noticed keys with stabilizer are rubbing and sticking when bottomed out due to costar style stabilizer. I've ordered o-rings and installed into keys with stab. Keys don't get stuck but I still feel some keys that are still rubbing caused by the stab wire and inner part of the keycap.

I'm looking to buy another keyboard with cherry style stabs, maybe TKL or 75% with linear switch like gateron yellow.

Is there any keycap set that are compatible with my WASD v2? Any advice if taihao ABS or PBT keycap are ok?

I thought of replacing the keycaps and use it as spare or let my wife use it for her desktop.

Tai Hao keycaps will work fine, since they're pretty thin.  You could also take a Dremel type of tool and sand out a little bit of the inside of your TaoBao keycaps where they're rubbing.
