Sooooooooooooooooo, I've gone down the rabbit hole of a keyboards, go figure. It's addictive and I want that true typing experience. Note I use a ducky one with silvers (honestly horrible) and a k552 modded with gateron reds (way better than the one because of switches). With that in mind I would like to find a really high quality tkl kit/pre built. I am very experienced in soldering and plan to lube the switches (gateron yellows lubed with krytox 205g0). I just have no clue what board to get, what case, or generally what I should be aiming for to get that really solid experience.

I looked at the KDB8x mk2 and that looked pretty good... Would that be a good keyboard or is there better? I have roughly $450 to spend. Would that be good or should I am for something else?

Cheers, Velcro.
