^these are pretty large, but it you talking about a feed through connection on the pc side these are good for that, but there is better for pure number of connect/disconnects in its lifespan.
Yeah, i worked in industrial controls and electronics for a number of years, the one i'm building is based on the brand new ones they just released. I just wanted something futuristic looking that functioned well for quick connect disconnect. probably wouldnt commonly be needed but they are submergible, and resistant to all sorts of acids and bases and come with color coding (which looks cool). I will be pairing it with some fancy violet cable. I plan to put a mulitconnect feed through plate onto the surface of the desk that will feed through the desk and allow multiple connections.
