Hello,
It's a pleasure to be part of this great group of keyboard aficionados!

I've always just had the cheapest of keyboards, like the Logitech K120, which isn't a bad keyboard by any means and it does the job. It also didn't feel too bad whenever I spilled coffee on it either. That was a bad habit of mine. I've since learned to take better precautions :D

PC Games are a part of my life and I felt like picking up a decent mechanical keyboard after hearing several friends rave and rant about them. Picked up a 3x3 Cherry MX switch tester and quickly understood why Reds were some of the more popular Cherry switches. Although Browns felt nice as well.
So I recently bought a Varmilo VA87M from mechanicalkeyboards.com and am really enjoying it quite a bit. However, I've become rather accustomed to using a numpad and also have a habit of using the numpad Enter key. So I catch myself constantly hitting the right arrow key when wanting to hit Enter. With that being said, I am on currently on the lookout for a compact keyboard with a numpad. So far I am leaning toward an 1800 style board. These seem rather difficult to find though. But I think it'd suit me best. The very compact style 96 key keyboards look very nice, however I have a feeling I'd likely bump into the wrong keys often so the 1800 style is more appealing with that little extra bit of spacing.

I've found a couple of DIY kits that look interesting and am kind of leaning toward this new Barleycorn Keyboard Kit at Novel Keys. A couple concerns are that it might not be very heavy and will slide around easily, also I am not sure if I'll need the Function keys or not.

Anyways, thanks for having this section of allowing newcomers to introduce themselves.
I am open to any advice or suggestions if anyone feels like giving me some input.
