Phantom by Maker keyboards, is it good?
« on: Tue, 29 June 2021, 16:26:06 »
Mainly that's my question. I saw an IC post for it from 8 months ago and saw some reviews saying it sounds good for a relatively cheap gasket mount aluminum keyboard, but are there any other 65% gasket mount aluminum keyboards out there? Is this gonna be my only option? or should I go for something like the ikki 68 aurora x dreamscape?

the Aurora is polycarbonate, the normal IKKI68 was aluminium, so if you can settle for PC then it is an option for sure, it also depend if you like the colors of the Aurora Dreamscape. and if you do not mind waiting a long time given that it is running with a keyset, so at least one year of wait time nowadays, and the Aurora is meant to be easy to built in plenty of colors so you will see it again in other colors available, no need to fear on missing out if you are not all about that colorway. (it is the 3rd time it runs with a keyset and it also ran by itself with 4 colors previously so i think it is a pretty safe bet we will see it again)
and as far as 68% goes it is a pretty common for factor, there are plenty of pcb and cases that you can buy from in stock vendor or that are open source and that you can order from manufacturers, if you are really desperate, you would have asked 100% or above, that would be an other story.

Thanks a lot for the info! would the ikki68 come back in aluminum? Should I wait for it?
