Hey!

Just a quick question:
I bought a Realforce R2, not knowing that it was a "silent" edition. Can it be made a "loud edition" by removing the pre-installed silencing rings, or are the stems made with those in mind? (I read somewhere that the stems might be longer on a silent model to accomodate for the rings and thus the rings should not be removed)

Thanks in advance!

Hey the stems are made for the silencing ring. They are a bit longer then non silenced versions to accommodate for the rings. By removing the rings the keycaps will sit higher and you will have more travel.

If you really want non silenced there is probably someone out there that would want to trade for your silenced sliders/stabs because, most of us see it as a upgrade not a downgrade.
