Cherry G80-3000LPC

Cherry G80-3000LPC with black switches. Has anyone used this keyboard before?

For someone who isn't familiar with high end keyboards, will I notice any difference in usage between my current Thinkpad keyboard and the G80?

All that I have heard is that black Cherrys are crap to write on... and they should be.. linear, high force with no sound or tactile (yeah.. linear .. )... If you are going to write on it... go for a Blue (clicky + tactile, medium force), Brown (tactile, low force) or Clear (tactile, high force)...   (I use Clears myself writing code 8-10 hours a day, five days a week... and I'm very happy with them)

But I've seen some people writing that black cherrys might be good for gaming though... Nothing I know anything about... I don't do that kind of gaming. :/

Apparently they don't do browns or clear in this model. Otherwise I would have definitely considered those as a first option. I believe the blues are a little too noisy and doesn't appeal to my personal preference in noise level. Would the blacks be that distinctly difficult to use for general everyday work and definitely no gaming?

Cherry MX Blue: Cherry G80-3000LSC
Cherry MX Brown: Cherry G80-3000LXC
Cherry MX Clear: Cherry G80-3000LQC
Cherry MX Black: Cherry G80-3000LPC

These are all US ANSI style keyboards with the € symbol on key 5... That is the Cherry G80-3000***EU.

Well... I wouldn't like to type on a keyboard with no tactile feedback... I would much rather go for a Filco or Das Keyboard or something else with brown switches then buying a Cherry with black switches... But I prefer some force in my keys... so I went for a Cherry G80-3000LQC. And since I'm from Sweden I wanted the European ISO layout. But there is no LCQSE model... so I just went ahead and bought a DE version (more exactly a Cherry G80-3000LQCDE-2 ... A black German cherry keyboard with clear switches.)... Same layout but different key caps. But I don't really look att the key caps... so that doesn't matter.
