Swell-looking keyboard history coffee-table book
« on: Fri, 10 February 2023, 19:48:15 »
A friend pointed me to this article about a rather grand-looking project to document the history of keyboards:

Shift Happens: New book takes deep dive into keyboard history (cultofmac.com)

It points to this Kickstarter page, which shows that over 3X as much has been raised for the project as it requested. There's also an option to "Back this Project", implying that you'll get a copy of the two-volume book when you do.

The book also has a website here—but it has only a link to the Kickstarter site, no actual instructions for buying the book separately.

I couldn't find it on Amazon.

I see the project was also mentioned here on GH last year, but with no follow-ups.

So, am I just being dense, and this is how Kickstarter works—even after a project has met its goal, you can still "support" it just to buy one of the products?

Assuming it is available now (and removing my ignorance), let this be an announcement, in case any of you are interested. Okay then!
