[IC] A knob-board might replace your keypad
« on: Sun, 13 October 2024, 13:37:57 »

Hi everyone , Coco from Azilian !
We’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on with all of you !

The Idea

It all started with the keyboard I had, the Everest Max—a modular design keyboard.
It has a knob-like component that to be honest disrupts the overall layout of the keyboard
And isn’t very user-friendly.
So, why not make a standalone one

First, It needs to be wireless 、It needs a mechanical knob、 and it needs to support smart home control.
With all that,
We’ve also engineered a unique sliding mechanism.
(akin to a touchscreen with physical feedback)
This setup lets you access up to 10 different input functions with just one knob.

How it works ?

There is a magnet ring on the knob, and the four Hall sensors on the board will detect its position.
It can be used as an analog, for example, to play games, but it will increase power consumption,
So by default, its eight positions will be treated as 8 keys.

You can modify any key and bind any automation in Azilian os.
Btw, it will be support midi as well.

And as a wireless device, it comes with one dongle, all the communication with smart home is done by it.

First, the dongle will establish a connection with smart home platforms such as HomeKit to create a virtual switch or switch group.
You need to bind the corresponding Lifemotion button on Azilian OS
And set the trigger operation in HomeKit.

More

We are still preparing for mass production、OTA、MFi certification…
Before that I hope to hear you guys ,any thought any ideas…

Hi, If you enjoy using macro and appreciate the convenience of knob controls, this product is a great tool. You can boot up your PC、 turn your desk light on, open your work file with one single twist.
