Keyboard I acquired yesterday
« on: Tue, 02 November 2010, 04:42:24 »
Here are some pics of a keyboard I acquired yesterday.  Its an old Dell Model AT102W, it has black ALPS switches.

Here it is before and after cleaning, as it had been a little abused.

Cilit bang and Cif.  Was surprised how well it cleaned.  Took bloody ages to take all the keys off and clean though.

I suppose you got them off eBay UK from that seller who had a truckload of them. Seems to confirm that his definition of clean is skewed :)

I got mine to be just as clean by simply washing it with Fairy liquid.

Lol, yup. I took my old IBM 8923 keyboard and cleaned it up... it's a rubber dome but it was a nice enough looking board. My, what a mess it was. I've seen some nasty things under those keys... nearly made me puke.

It was an old one from work that was getting scrapped, so got it for nothing which is even better.
