[IC] Dragon Sparrow 98 keyboard From CXBEROVE
« on: Wed, 10 July 2024, 00:26:13 »
Hello everyone, I am Niko From Cxberove.
Today, I bring you the first work from the CXBEROVE studio: "Dragon Sparrow  98".

The design concept of the "Dragon Sparrow 98" is influenced by Bauhaus, featuring minimalist body lines and the use of rational and restrained geometric language, presenting a sense of sharpness at specific angles.
In terms of the keyboard's form, we hope it stands like a modernist sculpture on your desk.

What's more interesting is that we've introduced the concept of the "Dragon Sparrow  Ring."

The LED array at the bottom not only serves as a knob for adjusting volume but also functions as a caps lock indicator, a 2.4G signal light, and even an ambient desk lamp.

As the colorful backlight flows across the surface, simply rotate the hollowed-out knob, and our meticulously tuned damping will allow you to intuitively and clearly grasp various feedback from the keyboard, allowing you to focus on enjoying the pleasure of the flow.

A galaxy across the desk, dreamlike and fantastic.

The sides feature a "hidden edge" design, with lines inspired by the tip of a Tang Dynasty horizontal sword, sharp yet restrained.
The blade points downward, embodying the philosophy that "the true meaning of a knife is not in killing, but in concealing."

While satisfying aesthetic requirements, there is also functional consideration here: the concave slope provides a sufficiently large area for the hands to exert force.
Ensuring a strong sense of safety and ease of handling when you move this 6-pound heavy device across the desk.

The inscription on the blade reads: "Dragon Sparrow."
A poem says: Ancient sharp weapons, the "zhanlu" of Wu and Chu dynasty. The great Xia Dragon Sparrow , renowned in the divine capital.
("Zhan Lu" refers to a famous sword from the earlier Chinese Spring and Autumn period,770 BC)

After comparing various design schemes that involve adding elements, we still believe that simplicity and consistency are what we desire.

The central groove running through the entire keyboard is where the design conceals its essence. Whether viewed from the front or the side, a sense of order emerges naturally.

The "Dragon Sparrow  98" features a PCB Gasket structure, supported by 12 silicone columns that hold the entire interior.
Combined with the black core board material that has individual key slots, and a meticulously tuned Hi-Fi sound package,
the touch feels resilient without being rigid, and the sound is concentrated without being scattered.

The "Dragon Sparrow  98" comes equipped with a 6000mAh battery and supports fast charging.

The golden angle of inclination, with an 8-degree slope, enhances typing comfort.

The Dragon Sparrow  switch is a Hi-Fi-oriented linear switch.
It features a full POM (Polyoxymethylene) upper and lower housing,
with a LY (a type of polymer material) stem, an early trigger mechanism, and precision lubrication from the factory.

In terms of sound tuning, the Dragon Sparrow  switch aims for a highly concentrated bottoming sound that is clear and yet has a muffled feel.
"CXBEROVE" in collaboration with "KEYNATION" sincerely presents this switch, hoping you will like it.

During Group Buy (expected to be in 2 months), we will launch multiple colored top covers and Dragon Sparrow Rings.
The exact colors will be discussed with everyone in the group. For now, let me share some preview images with you to have a look.

We are currently working hard on prototyping and debugging。

And we will update any progress in the QQ group or Discord channel. Everyone is welcome to join~

looks way cleaner and more realized than that $1000 artifact keyboard

even just the knob alone shows that more thought was put into designing it than whatever they're cooking up on their side  :))

As I gaze into the black abyss, the treeleaf stares back at me through the hole.
I watch as the treeleaf draws closer.
I take a deep breath, scared of what might happen next.
Slowly, I rotate the knob, and the treeleaf disappears into oblivion. I sigh. It was only a trick of the light.
