You are buying a IBM 5150 5160 Heavy Duty Clicky Keyboard Nice Shape. This was pulled from some working machines has been in storage for 10+ years but has been tested and works great. Buyer pays shipping and handling of $10.00 I accept Paypal only as payment. This will be sold as-is shape. Please Note: The F3 Key is broke or just needs a new spring.

Doesn't look like it's in the best cosmetic shape, but whatever. Cheap shipping too. I wonder how they tested it?

Kishy, do you have a method for getting those XT boards working on modern machines? That would seem very relevant.

I'm not sure if this diy XT -> USB adapter in the wiki works 100%, but even if not, it looks like a good starting point.

I'm going to order a Teensy to try and get my AT model F with extra hammers (thanks Daniel!) working 100% over USB, but I don't have an XT board to play with (yet...), so I won't be able to check that out.

I was about to say, I think you could re-organize the layout of the XT to something less bonkers and have yourself a very nice keyboard. Provided you could actually use the damn thing on a PC. I am not very good at electronics, so I am leery of trying that mod.

The Teensy board comes assembled, so there's not much to do apart from wiring and loading up enough software to send the hex file to it. But if it doesn't work 100% and needs a bit of tweaking in the code, well that's where experience of such stuff could come in handy :)
