Thats Ducky 9008 (a.k.a. Ducky 108 with 108 keys, which I am not interested in...thought you were talking abt Ducky 1087 :S), why don't you buy both

I think blues r better since they give u a tactile feedback (mechanical keyboard addiction gateway drug, probably why Razer chose blues for BW)

By the way i am joining their bulk. Basically their ordering from Ducky directly and shipping to Singapore. Once arrived, walrus will ship to me in Malaysia. It's still cheaper then buying directly using tabao i reckon.

What gets me is what does black on black lettering mean ? Is that laser etched


Ducky 9008 is about the same as the Ducky 1087 ? Except the 1087 is tenkeyless am i correct ?



PS: They will check if they can get the brown switch. My fallback is the blue switch.

Razer is rubbish with 2KRO...

Difference between Filco and Ducky :
- LED positioning (caps lock, num lock, scroll lock)
- Ducky 1 more model(9008) and black-on-black keycaps compared to filco

Ducky models (black,blue, brown) = NKRO capable
- 1087 (87keys) (no numpad)
- 9000 (104keys) (normal)
- 9008 (108keys) (4 extra media keys)

Filco models (black,blue, brown) = NKRO capable
- Tenkeyless (87keys) (no numpad)
- Normal (104keys)

I love gaming on my Filco browns as I dont even bottom out browns for gaming and tend to ride the actuation point, thus making the tactile feel very important to me.
Everyone's method of using a keyboard is different.

Typing :
Blue : AWESOME (will annoy surrounding people)
Black : Short messages are fine. Anything longer is too harsh for me
Brown : Feels really nice; it will be perfect will the clicks of blue

Gaming :
Blue : Double-tapping becomes an issue due to the high release point
Black : Awesome but not for me as i need the tactile feel
Brown : Great for gaming especially if you ride on the actuation point

Also whats this about pbt Last i heard, it was abs.

I would have thought that the DK-9008 is better than the 1087 because it has the numpad keys (which i actually use).

So why exactly would the 1087 be better :/ is there something i don't know ??

i dont think that they have a full set of PBT keycaps, that would be freaking expensive... but they might have the PBT keycaps for the 87 keys since they will introduce 1087 with PBT keycaps (10-1 China's national day), but the 1087 will have a number pad (something like the realforce since they replaced the scroll lock with the num lock, again like realforce...)[sry i cant really find a better way to describe this, english isnt my mother tongue =P]. back to the main point, some of ur keys will have numbers on them, which isnt very nice...

In the land of China, they name things differently.
Here, we say Tenkeyless.
There, they say 80%.

Tenkeyless pros:
- more mouse space for people will small workspace.
- some people find it more comfortable due to the fact ur arm will be position in a more natural A-shape. a touch more ergonomic.

Full-size pros:
- more productive due to numpad

A tenkeyless with a seperate numpad is perfect for me but i cant get Filco Numpad in Singapore so my tenkeyless dream will have wait...

Background : I studied basic product design and ergonomics back in school.

Again, I stress that these are just my opinions. I'm no professional nor doctor.

Sigh Moogle… one piece of advice. Don't take other people's opinions that literally. They are ultimately, at the end of the day, other people's opinions. Sure, you can fill your head with various manufacturing/materials design notions and come up with this "theory" of a "perfect" keyboard, but when you get it in your hands… who knows, it might absolutely suck for you.

Just learn to take everything with 2 spoons full of salt.

I was sighing at Moogle for not searching.

I don't think a single company has made a release date on time. even a corporation like Razer had to push back the Blackwidow Ultimate not once but twice.

Thought Ducky is a Taiwan company? Doesn't appear that easy to get even in China (have to go through TaoBao, not many physical stores).

Well, I do go back to China almost every year, but it would be little weird carrying a suitcase of keyboards.

Besides, like I said, not that easy to find them even locally.

Some Hong Kong entrepreneur will start selling them like the Cherry Corp Reds.

Similarly he'll probably charge $15 for the keyboard and $150 for shipping.
