hello , this is Ken
I have made a prototpye of a split EC keyboard.
The keyboard runs ZMK firmware that features powerful wireless bluetooth connectivity and energy saving characteristic.
People have the impression that EC keyboard is power hungery and not fit for making split keyboard.
It doesn't have to be. By using low power nrf52840 chip and implementing sleep when keyboard is idle, wireless EC keyboard is feasible.
On my actual test, battery could last at least one month using a 1000 mAh Li-ion battery.
The EC split could go into sleep when idle, and be woken up by pressing keys.
let me know if you are interested or have any advice for this keyboard.
