What's a light keyboard that doesn't suck (to go together with a netbook)?
A filco weights 1.5 kg :)... not something you want on your backpack...

That's remarkably light for something as well built as this. Then again, there are no metal plates involved.

A G84-4100 (compact with ML switches) weighs in at about 400 g. The USB combo varieties (you can still get 'em in PS/2-only as well) come in 83-key (LCAxx) and 86-key (LCMxx) versions. The 86-key ones have a rather short spacebar.

Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

Thanks. Unfortunately : HHKB is not easily available in China it seems, and I don't agree with the idea that less keys and more combos is better (!).
What else is out there that doesn't weight a ton?
I think the Ducky are 800g? Maybe they don't pack the giant metal sheet that Filcos have?

The black ducky 1087 is 800g, steel plate.

If you're in China take a look at the white ducky 1087. It has an aluminum plate and weighs only 600g.

An M2 is huge compared to other boards mentioned.  My portable is a ghss/minitouch with a dampened alps swap so I can use it even in quiet environments.  A g84-4100 is another great backpackable board.  Ortek like in my sig.  If you don't require a mechanical there are tons of options including HHKB lite.
