Ha ha! No, I actually DID mean R3. I am a long-time full-sized keyboard user, and Linux professional over years of IT and development. Also a recent convert to the 65% layout. I use the Del key a lot...a lot. And from all my time with a full layout, Del has to be at R2. After Del, the things I use most are Home and End. On the command line all day, and often running long commands that I need to edit to find exactly the right one, Home and End take me to the beginning and end of a line, respectively. A huge help. In the event of using a 65% board that wastes the top right R1 with a silly badge, I want Home to go somewhere. The best spot, IMO, is R3. I use Home at layer0, with End at layer1. When I can't use Home at R1, and a keycap doesn't exist for R3 (it almost never does, which sucks), I'll _take_ PgUp/PgDn at R3, but I don't use those nearly as much. But my mild(?) OCD makes me want PgUp (which is hit and miss to be included at all, which also sucks) to be the key in that position, with PgDn at layer1. Having PgDn there because PgUp wasn't included grates on me. And while we're at it, I guess, I _really_ wish there was always a 1.5U R4 Fn key included. I prefer the Tsangan bottom row, and will use it whenever the PCB allows it. The left three keys in that row being Ctl, Super, and Alt, I really want the right 1.5U key to be Fn. I don't need another Ctl or Alt, and again with the OCD thing, I don't want to use Super there since there's already a key labeled Super with a different function on the left. GMK has the mold for the 1.5U Fn key. I really wish designers would incorporate that into their designs. And you might ask why I don't just use Fn right above the right arrow. I will, if I have to, but I'd much rather have a dedicated End key there , rather than having End at layer1 of the Home key. And Fn is WAY more comfortable as the right key in a Tsangan bottom row.
So there you go. All of this to keep my OCD-ishness at bay. Ha ha!
