Why am I the only person on this forum who's got a 1008? There are plenty of 1087 and some 9008 but I'm the only 1008...

wow to be out of mech board is weird to me now. I can only stand the scissor on my laptops/netbook. Everything else is some sort of mech board. Wonder how i'll react going to ppls houses now.
Prolly the same way i felt when i stayed over a friends house and he said that I could use his roommates computer, but after looking at the keyboard i said i think i'll find an internet cafe. at which point he laugh and handed over his laptop. His roommates computer is one of those horrible internet pics where it "was" a beige keyboard but there were cigarette burn marks everywhere and you can clearly tell what keys he was pressing to play everquest cuz of all the black keys.

Avoid other people's keyboards at all costs.  Bring your own, USB makes it so easy!
Currently GMMK Pro: lubed 68g U4T, FR4 plate, extra gaskets, etc

This is especially true on a university campus. Especially near the beginnings and ends of semesters.

Nasty, nasty, nasty, nasty, nasty, disgusting things. Unless you immediately wash your hands, you will get sick. Unless you are Chinese or Indian. Then you're immune.
HHKB Pro 2 -- Custom UNIX layout Unicomp Customizer 101 -- IBM Model M 1391401 (modded to UNIX layout) -- IBM 1397000 (also UNIX layout) -- SSK in UNIX layout -- Model F 122 key in UNIX layout (Soarer USB "native")

That was not intended to be even remotely racist on my part. My fiance is chinese, and the girl NEVER gets sick. And none of the indian students in my department do either.

I always assumed it was simply because of exposure. India and China are significantly more crowded than the US, so you are simply exposed to more stuff more often. I refer to it as her nuclear immune system.

And China at least is much less all about sterile surfaces compared to the US. I really do think it's weakened our immune systems over the years.

Edit: Wait, I'm american, so it's supposed to be nucular, isn't it?

lol Reference, you just reminded me of a hilarious Asian prank call. I'll post it up here when I get back home but one of the lines he says is "Why you being racist?"
