Intriguing!

The last picture gives the (proper) details of the manufacturer and the buyer, but it's a little difficult dredging up more information. Quint (incorrectly--apparently--labelled as Qwint in marker on the box and by the auction) seems like a dead end, or at least I didn't feel like looking harder and refining deeper than some very light queries that were turning up too much noise and too little looking promising. Using the street address turned up nothing when specific, other than that it's an address in an industrial park.

Stackpole (I didn't dig deeper to see if the parent components company still exists, but the electronics division does) is more interesting, and they hold (held?) some patents for mechanical key switch designs, which might be fun for those so inclined to dig through.

The auction says they're willing to sell in quantities less than the entire lot of 16 keyboards, if anyone is interested enough to want to poke at one of these.

Regarding the Qwints, a telex terminal perhaps?
