Looking for first mechanical

I have been looking into getting a mechanical keyboard as I do a lot of typing. I have read the guide that explains the different cherry switches and I think brown would be be best for me. I don't want something really loud and I light the lighter force necessary for the keys.

I am having trouble finding a full sized keyboard with numberpad with brown switches. The only one I found found sold in the US is the das keyboard. Not a big fan of the glossy look of it and I heard the keys wear out pretty quickly on that keyboard. I didn't see any brown switch full sized keyboards on elite keyboards either. Do you all have any recommendations of what and where I could get a brown switch keyboard at a decent price in the US?

Usage will be gaming (RTS and FPS), programming, and general typing.

I, like many others, have decided to go the armygroup route.  There is a really good guide on this site that a forum member put together that helps walks you through the purchase.

I just ordered one this weekend, so I can't comment on delivery time.

I got a 104 key Filco with cherry browns and it ran me around $169 USD.

Good Luck.

You could ask ducky keyboard on ebay when he will be getting full sized browns in:  http://stores.ebay.com/Ducky-Keyboard

Or you could wait another month and hope EK gets their leopold boards in.

I don't see a price on their page to fill out on the estimation form.
