do watch Band of Brothers, bugfix...highly recommend it.

It sure is sad knowing my son will most likely never be able to hear stories from someone that survived that era.

That's a shame.  A really good officer.  Rare in those days, damn near impossible in todays.

I just love Band of Brothers and admire those men who survived the worst war in the world. Sad day for sure.

He was portrayed as a damn fine officer and leader in Band Of Brothers, and I got the feeling that he was all that and more.  RIP, leader of heroes.
