What in gods name would cost 15GBP to ship a keyboard national? I'm asking the UK guys, is it just so ****ing expensive to ship things over there?

No, you can ship up to 10 KG for about £7 or 8 quid IIRC.
Also as you would expect, the amounts go down so does the price.
