Trackball Mouse
« on: Mon, 13 June 2011, 14:21:53 »
I'm interested in trying out this weird trackball thing, so I thought I'd see if anyone here has one they would sell.  I'm not real sure what all the different brands and types are, but I want something nice that can be used with either hand (not those crazy right handed ones).

PM or reply here, thanks.

It's just a big picture. I tried it at Office Depot and really liked it. If I was looking for a trackball, this is the one I'd get.

The Logitech wireless trackball is pretty good. I tried it for several days and it took no time for me to transition from using mouse to trackball. Not having to move my arm much was great. Too bad that I have bony hands and had some sort of RSI that made my hands extra sensitive. Resting my hand on the thing was just not comfortable for me. Now that I'm getting over the RSI, I'm itching to give it another try.

The M570 is pretty nice, though you loose a lot of accuracy with a thumb trackball. The Kensington Orbit is the other one I would recommend (it is highly underrated, IMO).

There are a gazillion different types of trackballs, and they are very fun to test. Check out craigslist for old trackballs, you can often find them for pennies.
