Converting keycaps - need suggestions
« on: Wed, 04 May 2011, 02:56:38 »
I thought I saw a thread on this forum before that showed a keycap converstion how-to, but I can't find it.  So...

Other than the obvious, hollowing out the inside, what's the best way of creating cherry MX adapters to secure them to the switches?  I don't suppose they're sold seperately anywhere?

damnit, can't find that damn thread either but what you have to do is harvest them from other key caps. Just buy the cheapest piece of crap keyboard with mx switches.

Those are the threads I was remembering, thanks.  Was hoping there was an easier way to go about it, like someone made adapters, but oh well.  Any suggestions for ultra cheap cherry keycaps that I can tear apart?
