I was lucky enough to grab one Swedish/Finnish Majestouch 2 with brown switches from The Keyboard Company ~one week ago. This guy wasn't even listed as Majestouch 2, and was a single piece that suddenly became available at April the 8th. Maybe it's a sample piece or something, who knows.
Anyways, I now have two SWE/FIN Majestouches with brown switches: one v1 (for home) and one v2 (for work), so I'm in a good position to make comparisons. Yay. Other than that, my experience is rather limited; got my first Filco six months ago, fell in love with it, and about one month ago, decided to get a second mechanical for work. I tested the Blackwidow, and was disappointed by its quality (~one fifth of the keys didn't even say click). I also tested a Realforce at a local verkkokauppa.com and (obviously) it felt really, really nice. I could definitely feel good oneness with the rubber cup, but still decided I like the browns more. So... here I am, living the dream, with two beautiful, almost identical twins under my fingertips.
Yes, almost. As the Korean guy(girl?) pointed out, the biggest difference is the keycaps, which are made from a different, softer plastic. The biggest (and I guess the only) gripe with Majestouch 1 (at least for me) was the exceptionally non-durable keycaps, which quickly became shiny, giving the keyboard a greasy appearance, no matter how clean you kept it. I understand that this is a somewhat fundamental problem with keycaps, but there's at least hope that this material is even slightly more durable.
Other than giving it a more matte appearance, the softer plastic also provides a little bit softer feel. The difference is subtle, but it's there. The bottoming out sound is also different; again it's softer compared to the "hard plastic against hard plastic" sound of v1. The difference is large enough to justify me keeping the v2 at work, since it's less distracting for my co-workers, but I kinda enjoy the sound of Majestouch 1 more.
..and that's about it. Oh, the FILCO logo on the corner is now dark gray instead of gold. I posted a short video, try and see if you can spot the differences between the two:
