http://imgur.com/a/FUS6RThe first picture is the keyboard itself. The second picture is a comparison with a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000.
It's a Northgate Computer Systems Omni Key 102. The part number is KYBD102P. It is a mechanical switch keyboard. It has this strange thing where the function keys normally should be. My first thought is that it was a touch pad, but after looking like an idiot for a few minutes, I realized it wasn't. The keyboard itself is very heavy, probably around two to three pounds. I've seen places saying that this keyboard was among one of the best keyboards available at the time, second only to the IBM Model M.
The keyboard itself is peculiar. I have yet to see any pictures of this exact layout. I've seen ones similar, but they lacked the isolated ESC key, the windows key, and the alt key. The Function keys are located on the side. I've seen this in a few other models. The up arrow key also has a light, like the caps lock, num lock and scroll lock. I've yet to figure out how to activate the light. It has a door on the upper left. I've read that it was used to program the keyboard on the Ultra models. It reads "programmable" on the back sticker.
It's in very good shape. All of the keys work, and all the lights work. It's in amazing condition, nearly new. The only fault is that the rubber around the PS2 connector has been cut back with a knife. I assume this is so it could fit in a modern port. I saw one going for 174USD on ebay, however I feel I could get around 100 to 150 USD for it. I don't exactly know much else about this keyboard. If anyone would like anymore pictures of it, I can take some. Thanks, Reddit.
This was my friends post on Reddit, and he asked me to post it up here as well.
Any additional information on this keyboard would be much appreciated.
