Noppoo Choc Mini Key Chattering
« on: Wed, 20 April 2011, 15:39:19 »
My 2 month old Choc Mini has started to exhibit an annoying chattering issue starting last week. Right now, it only seems to effect the 'a' key, and it doesn't occur THAT commonly, but often enough to really annoy me.

However I bought it through a member here at GH as part of a small group buy. I read in an earlier thread that I am SOL as far as warranty goes. I tried disassembling the board and didn't see some hideously bad soldering on the PCB (the cable might have been lose, but reconnecting it didn't seem to solve the problem), and there may have been traces of strange yellowish goo that could have been flux on the left side. (I don't have a camera right now, but I could take pictures later if necessary). However, I have no real experience with soldering myself so I am not really sure what my best options are. I am on a tight budget so a replacement for now is out of the question.
