Author Topic: Should I wait for Majestouch 2? (Read 4453 times)

Hi guys

I just ordered a Majestouch (UKB full) last week. I've just read about the Majestouch 2, and I wondered if people thought it was a significant upgrade and if I should wait for that instead. The Tenkeyless versions seem to be the same price. Also, does anyone know when the full version will be available?

They are the same price. Id wait for the newer version, though, it is solely better plastic from what I hear. I mean why not get the new product

I have both Majestouch 2 and 1 tenkeyless blue switches. They are almost the same feeling except the material made with. Majestouch 2 just has better texture feeling. And the logo is metallic silver not gold. That's about it. It is said Majestouch 2 is dual layered under the keycaps but that doesn't make big difference when it comes to typing feeling. If you can wait for 2, sure. Personally, I think Majestouch 2 is little bit better made, and there's "2" on the back

Although mine is Red so it just says limited edition.. but just makes u feel better.

If both boards are plate mounted though, surely the feel will be exactly the same whether they are soldered one side, both sides, or even if you take the PCB out altogether and pretend to type. I think I will wait for Majestouch 2, but can anyone explain this point? Thanks

2 is better cus that's what they sell now. Can't buy 1 on Amazon.

You've made the right choice in choosing Filco, don't worry about the small differences between 1 and 2.

Well I'm having the same thoughts like M4R5, and also, I'm too whilling to but the UK 105 key layout, not the USA 104 key, so in the amazon link you posted, there's only the US layout available any ideas where can we get the full UK 105 key layout of the M2?

Keyboardco.com has exclusive distribution rights in the UK. They seem both friendly and helpful. I don't think the M2 is in stock yet though.

They have it with red switches.

And will all switches in blue,brown and blue in french, german and UK layout. I'm waiting one but in US layout even though I'm an english man. So I'm holding off for the "ninja" which is in around 23rd of this month.....getting it with browns.

I have Both the Majestouch 1 and 2 in front of me. Both Tenkeyless.

This whole better plastic, more solid feel is ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Other than the logo, I find no differences between the two from day to day use. Again, the double sided pCB blah blah... what exactly is it even suppsoed to do? sure the heck doesn't seem like it did anything at all.

A significant upgrade would have been use of different keycaps or something.

Get whatever is in stock and enjoy.
