Is Elite Keyboards offline?
« on: Sat, 04 June 2011, 17:34:15 »
I was just going to EliteKeyboards.com to look up a new Topre Realforce keyboard and I am unable to get to the site from where I am at. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing the same issue loading http://www.elitekeyboards.com/

Down here.  DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com says it's down too.

Maybe it's like the Apple store!  One more thing!

Try downloading your free games from the Sony PS3 store.  Now THAT's painful.

Did they go out of business? Maybe the Leopolds didn't sell that well to keep EK afloat.

Probably just some routine maintenance or something but yeah, they're down (link).

Insert analogy about the XArmor site. Taunt ripster's logic; Apologize to Majestouch.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

Yeah, the bag for the HHKB also went up. Not sure if it was just now, or sometime in the last month or so, but it's definitely more than it was last time I looked.
HHKB Pro 2 -- Custom UNIX layout Unicomp Customizer 101 -- IBM Model M 1391401 (modded to UNIX layout) -- IBM 1397000 (also UNIX layout) -- SSK in UNIX layout -- Model F 122 key in UNIX layout (Soarer USB "native")

CST L-TracX trackball -- Kensington Expert Mouse trackball

SOB!  The price of the keyboard I want hasn't changed but it looks like a few of the others went up in price.

Looks like the same prices on all keyboards per the last couple months at least.

Actually, I think a few things might be different:

- The HHKB replacement keycaps are $78.00 and I thought these were $70.00

- The HHKB roof now costs $37.00, I don't remember this being more expensive than the other two keyboard roofs

- There are now otaku domed Windows keys and front-printed MJ Ninja Windows keys (Cherry MX) for $3.50 a set

There also seems to be some blue Topre skull keys in stock, but I don't know if they've been in stock for a while (I thought all of them were sold out on both switch types).

I remember when the Blue Cherry MX force chart was wrong and Majestouch didn't believe me.

This must have been before I was identified as the number one keyboard expert on the planet.

also before you were dubbed a cocksmack, lol

I remember when gas was $3 a gallon.

I must be older than you.  I remember $1.09 a gallon.  that's about 20 years ago.  It would only cost $15 to fill up my 4 cylinder Toyota.

Are you sure?  The HHK I seem to recall being $265 (now $275) and the Topres were $250 (now $265)

Could just be me...

The Realforce TKL has been $265 before it went down.

After high school even, gas was .33 cents a gallon. You never looked at the money as you simply "filled up"

No Leopolds in stock again (tenkeyless).
